What is a VA?
May 18, 2007
“A Virtual Assistant (also known as a VA) is an entrepreneur who is in business to help small businesses with their overflow. VAs work from their own offices, usually a home-based office, and can help with any task that is usually handled by an in-house employee. Their services allow small business owners to get the help they need with their administrative tasks while they concentrate on generating revenue.â€
Some of the tasks a Virtual Assistant may offer:
*Reminder Services- Birthdays, Anniversaries, or any special date
*Client Management-Schedule meetings, appointments, answer customer e-mails, send information
*Marketing-Submitting press releases and/or articles about your business ventures
*Wordprocessing and Spreadsheets-Letters, Reports, Contracts & many more offerings
*Transcription-Non-medical and medical
*Arrangements for Travel, Speaking engagements (online and offline), Retreats and more
*Billing- Send your customers there invoices and be sure they get paid
*Personal Assistance
There are many more administrative tasks that your Virtual Assistant may offer, don’t limit yourself or your business to just this list. Not all Virtual Assistants do every tasks listed above, so hiring more than one VA is a great idea.
I’m Stephanie Fish wishing you the best with your small business dreams!
