Social Media Quick Tip for Coaches

As a Publicity Virtual Assistant working along the side of professional career – center coaches, there is one thing that they all have in common and that is “How do I really get the most out of my social media connections?” or my favorite question is “How do I connect with all of my followers in a meaningful way”.

When you set-up your next online seminar, whether it be a teleseminar or webinar, have your opt-in page designer include the following:

Twitter- Create a unique #hashtag so your followers can find you and follow the event. Encourage them to tweet during the event!

Facebook- Invite your sign-ups to “like” your fan page, let them know that you will be on your page LIVE for x amount of minutes after the seminar for any questions. Just don’t promise that you can answer everyone’s questions.

LinkedIn- Send an invitation to the appropriate groups (not every group will be interested in every event).

Want to take this opt-in page one step further? Need a Social Media VA? Contact Stephanie

Someone who is indecisive about purchasing a product or service, and never feels satisfied with what they are offered. In the end a tire kicker may or may not buy. The term comes from sales people at car dealerships. Tire kickers would come around frequently, kick the tires a few times on the cars that they liked, but never make a solid purchasing decision on any particular car or trim.

That tire kicker has come here every day for the last month, don’t waste any time on him.

Choosing a virtual assistant

Starting your own membership site

Selling your own info-products

Updating your website

Marketing with Article & Press Releases consistently

Seeking interviews

I, personally, can identify with a few of those listed above! This list could go on and on, but one thing remains and that is the fact that you need to make a decision and do it now!

Social Media is a great business tool. It really is free advertising, if you think about it. I mean where else can you talk about your business and reach millions of people without having to pay a fee? With all this social media wonderfulness comes a responsibility that many online internet marketers don’t realize, and that is, social media works when you develop the skill to build relationships.

If you’re only online talking about your business then you’re missing out on really building your business. What I mean by that is, if you are using social media to build your business you probably think you need to be talking about your business, right? Well, not so much. I mean, yes you have to talk about your business but not just about your business, you need to be spending time talking to your friends and followers having a real conversation on something other than your business.

Your fans and followers want to learn more about you, not just your business. Your social media manager can schedule your business updates, business facts, industry news and so forth, but no one, not even the best social media manager can be your voice.

You must be your own voice!

Don’t shy away from building real relationships with your fans, they want to get to know the expert behind the expertise, and social media has allowed this to happen. Just be wise in your update postings, make sure you’re taking the time to build a relationship and not tearing them down by throwing spammy updating on a continuous basis.

One thing that many online business owners are doing to build real relationships with their fans and followers is by hosting a live online events. When you create an online event, whether its 30 minutes or hours long, you are taking the time to be ‘real’ to others and that in turn, can really increase your business.

Take the time right now to create a live event and let all of your fans know about it. Tell them you are going to take Q and A during the live call, and to let their friends know about.

After its all said and done, don’t solely rely on social media platforms or your social media manager to create the contacts you need for your business success. Remember, your clients want the benefit of working with you!

Another great and free method to creating traffic back to your website is to create a viral e-book or a viral report.

When something is viral, it simply means that it gets passed around from person to person because it contains great information for the person who receives it. The more often that you’re report gets passed around the more often your website gets noticed. We’ll take a look at creating something viral a little later on.

Author: Nell Taliercio

A Social Media Manager is one that utilizes socialization in many different media forms to help raise awareness of a company and keep their credibility going strong. Social Media is a powerful tool to use in marketing these days.

The quickest, most effective way for a company to reach their target market these days is by using a social media site, such as Twitter. These sites are a way to connect to just about anyone from anywhere in the world.

What does a Social Media Manager do?

Most companies will have a different set of tasks they need their social media specialists to do for them. But, here are some of the more common tasks you might be asked to perform for a company:

* Set up and maintain accounts on certain social media websites
* Research your target market to see what they’re saying about your employer
* Respond to any complaints, concerns or questions of your target market
* Stay on top of the social media circuit for new social media tools your company could use

What equipment do they use?

The main piece of equipment a social media manager would need is a computer with high-speed internet. The computer should easy access to all search engines to help stay on top of any social media news.

In some cases, a mobile phone is needed for texting messages to social media sites. Sometimes, employers will provide this for you if they need you to use one.

What skills should I have?

A social media manager should know their way around most social media websites. You should know how to use some of the more popular ones and know most of the tools they use to enhance their social media experience.

You will need to remember that you’re working for an employer and not goofing around and socializing with your friends during your work times. You also need to be able to be a professional at all times when performing your managing duties. The sites you’re socializing on for your employer are that company’s customers or potential customers.

If you don’t keep a professional attitude with them, you hurt your employer’s company. Your job is to help alleviate as much negative publicity on the internet as possible; not to start it by arguing with customers.

How much does a social media manager make?

The rate of pay varies greatly with each company that hires social media managers. What you would get paid could depend on how much experience or knowledge you have in the social media arena.

It also depends on the duties that you would be expected to perform and the size of the company that’s going to hire you. The rate of pay could fall in the range of $25,000 to $50,000 a year for full-time employment.

Social media managers are fast becoming a popular choice for a profession. While it sounds like you’re simply chatting about the internet, it’s still complicated and hard work. Much research will need to be done and you still need to keep track of where your employer’s target market is at.

If you do your job well, your employer’s company will thrive. You can have the satisfaction of knowing that you played a part in that and they just might reward you for your efforts.

Social Media Marketing is all the rage! Not only is it used for socializing for entertainment but it is vastly used for all sized businesses in hopes to reach their target audience.

Do you know how many social media plate forms are available to the small business owner?

Let’s see!

Twitter

Facebook

LinkedIn

Squidoo

Blogs

Social Bookmarking

O.k. maybe there’s a little bit more…say at last count 296! According to Wikipedia

It’s enough to make any savvy business owner start to wheeze and hyperventilate just thinking about doing ‘ALL’ of their social media marketing themselves! That’s why there is two important things to think about before jumping into your social media marketing plan.

Where is your target market hanging out?

What specific message do you want to send out at that particular moment?

It’s important not to be ‘spammy’ with your messages, yet, you have to send out a message on a regular basis in order to be ‘seen’ by as many of your potential clients as possible.

Have you outsourced lately?

You spend quite a bit of time designing or working with a website designer, to have the ‘best’ website for your business. Maybe you are spending so much time with your marketing that you really don’t visit your own website often.

So here’s my tip: Your website visitors come to your website and look immediately for your Twitter button and your Facebook button.

Place the button(s) on your home page so your visitors (a.k.a potential client) can connect with you

Most websites seem to have the buttons located on the right side of the website

Until next time!

Hi There! Since you are a busy online women business owner, I’ll keep this post short!

Let me start out by asking you “Are you achieving the goals you set out to accomplish this year?”

If the answer is “Not really”, then you need to know the secret of having a successful online business: Outsource Your Marketing!

The internet has changed everything. Not just where you work your business, but also the way you network your business. When you run an online business you have to learn how to “work” the “net” (network).

Outsourcing your business marketing tasks such as:

Facebook Fan Page (creation and management)

Ning Forum (setup and alterations)

Twitter account (setup and management)

Article Marketing

Press Release Marketing

Squidoo Lens creation

Keyword and Phrase Research

These are just a few of the marketing tasks you do not know how to do, care to do on your own, or perhaps you just don’t have the time to spend doing yourself.

What type of online business owners outsource to Buckeye VA? I’m so glad you asked!

Authors

Life Coaches

Virtual Assistants

Party Planners

Website Designers

Chiropractors

I would love to hear from you! Please contact me, Stephanie, today if you are serious about your business marketing success!
