Quick tips list for today’s post! I’m not a natural-born writer by any means, but I know it’s important for marketing my business. Here are some tips that I have recently started following and I wanted to share them with you!
- Write what you know best
- Don’t over use jargon or words that might confuse your readers, especially if they are new to the topic you are writing about
- Use action verbs and be direct
- Don’t generalize, get to the point and make it as specific as possible
- Give an example or tell a story
- Watch the length, if it’s too long you’ll loose your reader
- Use shorter paragraphs, of like 3-4 sentences
- Use bullets or images (if appropriate) this helps break up the article and makes it a faster read
- Make your reason for writing very clear-from beginning to end
