The Author Box/Bio area of an article is an extremely important part of your article (besides the title) and to your article marketing campaign. Are you creative with your bio or do you use the same one for every article you write?
3 Tips for Your Bio Area:
- Use a targeted keyword phrases in your Bio paragraph. What keyword phrase is your readers using to find what you offer?
- Add your “Call to Action”- tell your reader what you want them to do next. Do you want them to signup for a give-a-way? Do you want them to signup for an upcoming event?
- Link to your opt-in page where you can capture their email and offer a freebie. Don’t link to your home page for every article.
An example of a Bio using these 3 tips could read like this:
Stephanie Fish, owner of Buckeye V.A. serves the needs of online entrepreneurs by offering (keyword phrase–>)publicity virtual assistant services. (call to action–>) Sign-up for my free ezine to learn more about outsourcing your article marketing tasks by visiting (link to signup box–>)Buckeye V.A. or schedule your free 30 minute consultation.
If I had a specific optin page I would have linked directly to that.
