Day 7: I Spy!
Today is Day # 7 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 7: I Spy!
Are you and your potential clients playing “I Spy”? Can your next client find you? Perhaps they are googling your field of expertise, but they can’t find you or your services. Did you know that the more articles you market, the better your search results will be? That could mean, that all of those clients you know that you can help, can’t find you if the search engines can’t find you either. So stop playing “I Spy” and get “found” by your potential clients.
Write that article to educate and inform your next client and win them over!
Day 5: I Need Leads?

Day 5: I Need Leads?
Article marketing can bring you leads of quality that are relevant to your specific business needs. Perhaps a potential JV (joint venture) relationship can be started simply by having the right person read one of your articles. This is another reason why you need to have a specific call-to-action in your “Author Bio Box” (a.k.a. resource box). Don’t be afraid to send your readers to a different page than your home page. You can invite your reader to visit any page of your website. Be creative!

Day 3: Bring Me Traffic!
Today is Day #3 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 3: Bring Me Traffic!
Another benefit of regular article marketing is the potential it has to increase your website traffic. Having a professional website is important but it doesn’t stop there! You have to get your website seen by the search engines, but most importantly, your potential clients. Once your article is published via an article directory, that reader may decide to place your article in their ezine , blog or website. When your reader places your article in-front of their readers, those readers have the option to visit your website via the information in your Bio.

Where Did the Day Go?
As your business grows, your time goes! Think about it, in the early start of your business you found yourself (probably) staring at your website, taping your fingers thinking “what do I do to grow my business”? Now that you have seen a growth in your business, you might be finding yourself staring at a desk piled high (perhaps the pile is sitting on your office floor and the top of the pile is at desk level?) wonder “how do I get more time for my growing business”?
There’s a time in all growing, healthy businesses when you need to start outsourcing to an assistant. Maybe you already know this, but don’t have the time to create an outsourcing list. Here’s a basic list of outsourcing tasks that are needed by all types of entrepreneurs, like yourself.
Basic Outsourcing List:
- Research- your next podcast interview, podcast interviewee, keywords, ladies membership, women forums, business women, live speaking opportunity
- Database Entry- edit or add new ezine members
- Marketing Submissions- submit articles, press releases, podcast, and blog to appropriate directories
- Scheduling- podcast interviews or interviewees, consultations
- Transcription- transcribe your podcast, teleseminar, videos
Each individual business will have a specific list of outsourcing tasks, so be sure to keep an up-to-date list of your outsourcing needs.

Grow Your Business by Speaking
You already know that outsourcing to a virtual assistant can grow you business, but did you know she can also research speaking opportunities for you? If you are looking for speaking opportunities, be specific about your needs and wants.
- Do you want only online speaking opportunities?
- Or would you like offline speaking opportunities?
- Mix it Up! How about dividing up both types of speaking opportunities by picking the best months for you to travel (think Winter versus Summer months)
- Be specific about your topic. Don’t just assume that your virtual assistant will know what it is you’re wanting to speak about.
- Share! What has and has not worked about previous speaking opportunities. Don’t be ashamed to share with your virtual assistant about any “not-so-wonderful” speaking opportunities that may have taken place, she may be able to take this information and use it to your benefit.
All in all, by outsourcing the research for your next speaking opportunity you will be able to focus your time other tasks that only you can do (such as networking).
P.S.
You can also have your virtual assistant transcribe your past and future interviews!

Outsource Your Article Marketing?
Article marketing is a great way to share your expertise, educate your readers and bring in some search engine love. The problem with article marketing is that it takes time. If you’re already over-booked, the last thing you want to do is add another task to your schedule, which means you’re either going to chose not to market your business with articles or you’re going to outsource the task.
If you chose to outsource your article marketing then you want to be sure to have all of your information gathered so you can forward it to your marketing assistant. (Don’t worry if your article marketing information is not organized, you can ask your VA to allocate some of the time purchased to organize your information.)
Gathered information may include:
- articles written that aren’t submitted
- articles that have been submitted
- current article directories that you use
- preferred article directories that you want to submit
- username and passwords associated with your article directory accounts
- your bio in plain text and html
- your choice of email and password for new directory accounts
When you first begin to outsource your article marketing, you may want to meet with your virtual marketing assistant via phone (or Skype). Doing this will allow you both to ask and answer questions in real time, without having to play email tag.
