Article Marketing Challenge? Or Is It Challenging?
First off, let me say “HAPPY NEW YEAR“! Did you make any business resolutions? Instead of resolutions, how about making a business goal with action steps? One of the most important business goals an internet marketer (like yourself) should include is article marketing. Article Marketing can be a challenge when you look at it as an “extra” business chore, but it doesn’t need to be seen that way. Instead of making article marketing a challenging business task, why not outsource it to your virtual marketing assistant?
There are basically 4 steps you could take this new year that will help you with your article marketing challenge:
- Write your own articles.
- Find a Ghost Writer who knows you and your business, who will help you come up with a article writing plan. Once you determine how many articles per week or month you want to have written.
- Send those written articles to your virtual marketing assistant, who will create a marketing plan that fits with your business goals.
- Request that your ghost writer send the articles directly to your virtual marketing assistant, so they can immediately begin your article marketing campaign.
You may be asking “how many articles should I be submitting”? I’m glad you asked! As a virtual marketing assistant, I would recommend a minimum of 1 article every week, to a minimum of 10 article directories that your target market frequents. On a consistent, monthly basis, you should see a ROI (return on investment) either by increased webvisitors, ezine sign-ups, product sales, speaking opportunities or even blog comments (think SEO).
You are not limited to article directories only, oh no, you also can mix some social network marketing also. By spending a minimum of 1.5 hours a week on your article marketing business campaign, for Article marketing shouldn’t be seen as “challenging”, instead it should be seen as a positive business “challenge”, one that will help increase your business exposure and help you become the expert in your chosen business field.
Let’s work together by making 2010 the year that your business sees the success in growth that you desire!

Day 10: Let’s Recap Your Article Marketing “Why”
Congratulations! You made it to: Day # 10 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 10: Recap Your Article Marketing “Why”
In the previous 9 days you’ve learned some very powerful “why’s” of article marketing and how it plays an important role in your business. So let’s recap what you’ve read:
- You build relationships with potential clients you may not have otherwise met.
- You use your article marketing to build trust wit h your readers.
- You become known as the “expert” in your chosen field.
- You generate publicity.
- You gain pre-qualified website traffic.
- You feed your “content hungry” target market.
- You have the potential to be seen by thousands of people in your target market.
- Article marketing allows you to pre-sell your products or services.
- You market your business without having to meet face-to-face.
- You reap the benefits of continual web traffic for years to come.
My hope was to inform and educate you, the professional business owner, on how powerful article marketing can be for your business. If you market your business on a consistent basis, perhaps as little as 5 hours per month, you should reap the benefits for years to come.

Day 8: Pre-Sell Your Services or Products
Today is Day # 8 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 8: Pre-Sell Your Services or Products
Article marketing allows you to pre-sell your products or services. You don’t even have to meet face-to-face in order to sell your business. By article marketing on a consistent basis, your message will be read by your potential clients. Those potential clients then follow the link in your resource box, come to your website and hopefully sign-up for your mailing list. Maybe they will also contact you for more information about your product or service and want to place an order. You never know who is going to pick-up your article!

Day 7: I Spy!
Today is Day # 7 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 7: I Spy!
Are you and your potential clients playing “I Spy”? Can your next client find you? Perhaps they are googling your field of expertise, but they can’t find you or your services. Did you know that the more articles you market, the better your search results will be? That could mean, that all of those clients you know that you can help, can’t find you if the search engines can’t find you either. So stop playing “I Spy” and get “found” by your potential clients.
Write that article to educate and inform your next client and win them over!
Day 6: Business Advertising that Works?
Today is Day #3 of a 10 day series entitled :
“10 Reasons to Market Your Business with Articles”
Outsourcing (delegating) a minimum of 5 hours of article marketing per month can benefit your business. Perhaps if you have a better understanding behind the “why” you should be marketing your business with articles, then this task will never see the end of your to-do list again.
Day 6: Business Advertising that Works?
Not all advertising comes in the form of banners, flash ads or yellow page inserts. Let’s think outside of the “advertising block” for just a moment. Did you know that article marketing IS a way of advertising? Advertising that is mostly free, except that it costs you time. If you are consistent with your article marketing, your potential clients will start to view you as the expert in your field. They will begin to see you as someone that they can trust. Now what other type of advertising will show you as a possible expert in your expertise?

Day 3: Bring Me Traffic!
Day 3: Bring Me Traffic!
Another benefit of regular article marketing is the potential it has to increase your website traffic. Having a professional website is important but it doesn’t stop there! You have to get your website seen by the search engines, but most importantly, your potential clients. Once your article is published via an article directory, that reader may decide to place your article in their ezine , blog or website. When your reader places your article in-front of their readers, those readers have the option to visit your website via the information in your Bio.

Why You Should Outsource
Outsourcing is the exchange of money for time. The older business trend would have been to read over resume and applications, interview possible employees then take more time to hire that person. The newer business way is to seek a virtual assistant, someone that works remotely from their own office. This saves you time and money without sacrificing your business success.
By outsourcing business related tasks that take up quite a bit of your time, you can actually regain those lost hours and still see the business growth you desire. I’ve compiled a “Top 5 List” of the most outsourceable tasks that I’ve compiled over the past year.
Top 5 Time Consuming Tasks may include:
- Transcription
- Customer Service
- Email Support
- Online Marketing
- WordPress Set-up
The benefits of outsourcing, even the smallest task, can open new doors for you to further your business goals. By outsourcing the “busy” work to an assistant, you are opening up your schedule for that needed vacation or speaking opportunity.
Contact me, Stephanie, for your free 30 minute consultation and let me help you find that perfect service package.
Life Coach? Here’s An Outsourcing List
In working with life coaches I’ve learned a little about what they outsource. In no way is this a comprehensive list, each life coach will bring something different to the outsourcing table.
What does a life coach outsource?
- Research
- Marketing
- Scheduling
- Ezine maintenance
- Transcription
Can you think of anything else that goes with this list? As a marketing assistant, I constantly ask myself “what can I bring to my client”?
I’d love to hear what you can add to this list or perhaps, what is your personal view on how to help your life coaching clients.
Contact me, Stephanie, to schedule the best outsourcing package for your needs.
Outsourcing Made Easy? How and What is it, exactly?
In a nut shell, outsourcing is the exchange of money for time. As the business owner you would pay a virtual assistant for his/her time to help you manage your various business related tasks.
How do you know you need a Virtual Assistant?
When you first started your home-based business you wanted freedom, correct? Then something happened, you began to live day-to-day in front of your computer. Your family only sees you for a few minutes a day and your “work schedule” now interferes with your life. You realize you don’t have the freedom you thought you would. Cue in the Virtual Assistant.
Reality is, for many of us, we can’t do it all on our own. We either lack the knowledge or expertise to meet some of the needs of our business or we lack the time to get it done. Now ask yourself two questions.
1. What tasks do I do myself?
2. What tasks do I outsource?
The things only YOU can do might include:
* Hosting a Digital Event.
* Writing the content for your website, membership website and/or blog.
* Meeting with clients.
* Writing your new book or report.
* Speaking with publishers.
* Hosting your podcast.
Things you can outsource to a Virtual Assistant might include:
* Researching potential speakers, meeting rooms, prize donors for the digital event.
* Submitting your articles, press releases, blog and podcast to the proper outlets.
* Adding and formating your pre-written content for your website, membership website and/or blog.
* Co-Hosting your podcast.
* Updating your website with the most current search engine keywords and phrases. (Search Engine Optimization)
How do I choose the right Virtual Assistant for my outsourcing needs?
A virtual assistant is a generic term, so you need to spend some time (or contact a business coach who can help you) figuring out what type of virtual assistant you need and what type of business related tasks you should outsource to your VA. There are two types of virtual assistants: the generalist and the niche-specialist. You may find that you need one or more of both types depending on your business needs and the number of businesses you own.
In the beginning, all outsourcing relationships can be a little rocky. You are, after all, bringing in a person who knows very little about you and the way you work your business. It may take some time and patience with each other as you learn to communicate how you want things done and what the desired finished product should look like. To make this new relationship prosper,don’t under estimate the necessity of good communication, by scheduling a conference call a few times a month you and your virtual assistant will see great results.
In summary, bringing the right Virtual Assistant into your business can bring not only the growth and success you’ve been working so hard on your own to achieve, but your Virtual Assistant can also be the key to finding the freedom you’ve wanted all along as well.
