Hi There! Since you are a busy online women business owner, I’ll keep this post short!

Let me start out by asking you “Are you achieving the goals you set out to accomplish this year?”

If the answer is “Not really”, then you need to know the secret of having a successful online business: Outsource Your Marketing!

The internet has changed everything.  Not just where you work your business, but also the way you network your business. When you run an online business you have to learn how to “work” the “net” (network).

These are just a few of the marketing tasks you do not know how to do, care to do on your own, or perhaps you just don’t have the time to spend doing yourself.

Ways to Stay Connected with Your Customers

Social networking is a great marketing tool when used properly and consistantly. If you new to social networking or haven’t really done anything with it, then here are a few ideas to help you along the way.

Ideas:
*Get to know your customers/clients on personal basis by having a conversation. Don’t be shy to introduce yourself and your business to each new follower/friend. Ask them about their business if it applies.
*Let them know when you’ve added new products.
*Broadcast your current educational blog entry.
*Invite them to be a guest blogger at your blog. This is a great way to help you keep fresh content on your blog plus it gives them a link back to their websites.
*Announce your survey then offer them a discount if they participate.

Just remember to keep a spreadsheet of your accounts, username and password information somewhere other than your hard drive, just incase your computer crashes. I use google docs for my business and my clients, that way the information is always available.

Social Networks of a VA

Social networking is all the rage..for good reasons I might add! Not only can you get intouch with past friends and lost relatives but its a great way to educate your target marketing. The best part, the only cost involved is your TIME!

There are literally thousands of social networking sites out there so you’ll want to make sure that you choose wisely since not all networking sites and/or groups are where your target market hangs out.

Here’s a list of my favorite social networks and groups:

TWITTER
FACEBOOK
LINKED IN
PING.FM (Ok, so this really isn’t a social networking site, but it connects ALL of your accounts. I use this to send out announcements only.)

My friend, Regina Baker, is holding another one of her fantastic Networking With A Heart telesimars. Click here!

Remembering why we network and learning how to do it properly is really beneficial to all business owners.

Can Blogging Save Your Business?

If you are one of the million small brick-n-mortar businesses looking at ways to reach more customers and to stay in touch with current customers then maybe you should look into blogging. Now, I’m not talking about a “online diary” type of blog, but a custom-made blog that is made to look and work just as a website store.

5 Reasons You Need A Business Blog!

1. COMMUNICATE-Staying in touch with current and prospective customers is so easy when you add an RSS feed and/or ezine signup box.

2. UPDATE-You can update your A WordPress blog that’s being used as a website is so easy to keep update the design and to add content.

3. With a WordPress blog you can easily pre-date your posts, which saves you money spent from having to use an autoresponder.

4.

Free Publicity? How?

Yesterday we learned that publicity is getting the public to learn about what you are selling and what benefits they will get from your purchasing your product. Now lets talk about:

 ”How To Get Free Publicity”

*Submit press releases

* Write articles for your niche market offering your expertise

* Blog your knowledge

* Request to be interviewed on your favorite podcasts

* Setup your own social networking profiles

*Create your own YouTube videos!

*Outsource the above list to a virtual assistant

As a small business owner it’s your responsibility to communicate the potiental benefits your prospective customer or client will receive when they purchase your product and/or service, you must take the time to educate then, don’t just assume they already know how great your service or product is.

Polite comments are welcome :) Have a great week, until next time….
